FAQs
what are the most popular dog breeds?
Every year the AKC releases rankings of the previous year most popular dog breeds. 2025 ranks #1 French Bulldog, #2 Labrador Retriever, #3 Golden Retriever, #4 German Shepherd, #5 Dachshund, #40 English Mastiff.
Which BREED IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
There are many factors you’ll need to consider to find a dog that fits your family’s lifestyle. For example, trainability, energy level, shedding, grooming requirements, alertness, size, other children or pets in the home, and the size of your home. Some breeds are better suited for suburban and farm families than households living in the city. When adding any dog to your family, it’s also important that everyone is included in the decision-making process, including the kids.
How to find and work with a responsible breeder?
The best way to get to know a breeder is to meet in person, which might be at their kennel or in their home. If that’s not possible in person, ask to meet your breeder and their dogs via a video call. Observe the dogs and the breeder. Are the premises clean? Odor-free? Does the breeder show a genuine passion for dogs? Are the dogs well-fed? How do the dogs interact with the breeder—and with strangers? Both dogs and puppies should not shy away from the breeder and should be outgoing with strangers.
What Is A Front Harness Clip?
A front harness clip for dogs features a leash attachment point at the dog’s chest. It is highly recommended for managing leash-pulling, improved handler control, and preventing tracheal or neck injuries. Switch if your dogs can pull you like a sled dog. If your using retractable leashes, get rid of them immediately! Not only are they dangerous for owner and animal, they also keep constant tension on the line, which actively rewards and teaches dogs to pull if they want more freedom. Avoid walking multiple dogs at the same time until they are trained individually, walking together creates a “pack mentality” where they compete to get ahead of each other. This doubles or triples the force on the on the leash.
can i ask you questions?
One of the biggest benefits of working with us is that we can be counted on throughout your dog’s life. When you’re meeting with a breeder for the first time, come prepared with a list of questions about the breed and the puppy—you can never ask too many, and there are no dumb questions! See how other breeders react. Are they patient with your questions? Do they explain things clearly? Do you feel like you have a good rapport? Responsible breeders want to see their dogs in happy, loving forever homes and will be happy to share their knowledge.
can i see the pup’s parents?
Yes, there’s no better way to see how your dog will grow up than by looking at their parents! It will give you a sense of your dog’s temperament, size, and appearance.
do i need to sign a contract?
No, we do not incorporate a “gotcha” system during your puppy buying process. You will receive our clear philosophy, advice, and expectations about our dogs we entrust to you. These usually include clauses for spay & neuter, return-to-breeder, health guarantees, and puppy naming conventions. We are not in the business of selling property, we are matching puppies with forever homes.
🚨 Most people see the size first... then they meet an English Mastiff. ❤️🐾
Standing taller than some children and weighing more than many adults, English Mastiffs can look intimidating at first glance.
But owners know the truth. ❤️
Behind those massive heads, wrinkly faces, and giant paws is one of the most loyal, affectionate, and gentle dog breeds you'll ever meet. They're happiest when they're close to their people... even if they think they're lap dogs. 😂
This is why we love the breed so much. Not just for their size, but for their incredible hearts.
Big dogs, bigger personalities ❤️
