About Mastiff Kennel of America
Behind the Sanctuary: For those looking to add a gentle giant to their family
Raising English Mastiffs as Family Companions, Guardians, and Gentle Giants
Behind every massive head, wrinkled brow, and oversized paw is a dog with an incredible capacity for loyalty, affection, and connection. At Mastiff Kennel of America, our passion for English Mastiffs began with more than their impressive size — it began with their remarkable temperament and ability to become deeply bonded family companions.
Located in Greensboro, North Carolina, Mastiff Kennel of America was created from a personal search for a giant breed with the stability, presence, and calm nature needed to become a trusted lifelong companion. The English Mastiff stood apart as a breed with the qualities we valued most: confidence without aggression, strength paired with gentleness, and a natural ability to connect with the people around them.
Our mission is simple: to raise healthy, well-socialized English Mastiffs that transition confidently into loving homes across the country.
Our dogs are not raised as kennel animals. They are part of our everyday lives, allowing puppies to experience normal household activity, human interaction, and the routines they will encounter with their future families.
Our Breeding Philosophy
A great English Mastiff is more than size. Structure, temperament, health, and adaptability all play an important role in producing exceptional companions.
At Mastiff Kennel of America, every breeding decision is made with the goal of preserving the qualities that make the English Mastiff special:
Stable and confident temperaments
Strong structural foundations
Healthy growth and development
Family-friendly personalities
Lifelong companionship
Our dogs are evaluated as whole individuals, not just by appearance. We believe the best Mastiffs combine impressive presence with the calm, affectionate nature that has made the breed beloved for centuries.
Experience With Dogs & Animal Care
My journey with animals has been built through years of hands-on experience with different breeds and species.
Earlier in life, I worked extensively with powerful breeds, developing a strong understanding of canine behavior, communication, confidence building, and responsible handling. Later, I gained additional experience raising smaller companion breeds, where I focused on early socialization, genetics, and careful puppy development.
Each chapter provided a different perspective, but the goal remained the same:
Producing animals with stable temperaments, strong foundations, and the ability to become valued members of their families.
Standard
Our English Mastiffs are raised with structure, consistency, and intentional care.
Our adults, including Sergeant and Lufly, represent the qualities we value in our breeding program: balanced temperaments, impressive structure, and the ability to thrive as family companions.
Every puppy raised at Mastiff Kennel of America receives:
AKC registration
Age-appropriate socialization and development
Early neurological stimulation practices
Individual care and monitoring
Health documentation and veterinary support
Puppy preparation resources for new families
Continued breeder support after going home
We believe bringing home an English Mastiff is not just a purchase — it is the beginning of a long-term relationship between the puppy, the family, and the breeder.
Health, Nutrition & Transparency
Responsible breeding requires more than choosing two dogs and producing puppies. It requires preparation, documentation, and a commitment to the long-term wellbeing of each animal.
We focus on:
Genetic documentation
Veterinary care
Health-conscious breeding decisions
Appropriate nutrition
Environmental enrichment
Early puppy development
Our goal is to provide families with as much information as possible so they can make an educated decision about whether the English Mastiff is the right breed for their lifestyle.
Veteran-Owned With a Structured Approach
As a U.S. Marine veteran, the values of responsibility, discipline, and accountability influence every part of our program.
My background in engineering, technology, and structured problem-solving has shaped how we approach breeding. We believe organization, documentation, and attention to detail are essential when raising a breed as large and important as the English Mastiff.
Transparency matters. Families deserve to know who they are working with, how their puppy is raised, and what support is available after they bring their new companion home.
A Unique Sanctuary Environment
Mastiff Kennel of America is more than a traditional kennel environment. Our animals live within a diverse home-based sanctuary setting that includes English Mastiffs, Flemish Giant Rabbits, and tortoises.
This environment allows puppies to experience:
Different sounds and daily routines
Multiple types of animals
Household interaction
New environments and experiences
We believe exposure, patience, and positive experiences help puppies develop confidence and adaptability before they join their forever families.

Our Promise
At Mastiff Kennel of America, our goal is not simply to produce puppies. Our goal is to raise exceptional English Mastiffs and help families understand the responsibility, commitment, and reward of sharing their lives with this incredible breed.
A Mastiff is more than a large dog.
They are a loyal companion, a gentle guardian, and a lifelong member of the family.
We are honored to help families begin that journey.
